Scale of finance for one cow is Rs. 29000/- per cycle and Rs.27700/- for buffalo whereas for 1000 poultry birds, it is Rs. 70000

1 – Name of the Department: Animal Husbandry Department

Name of the Scheme       : Kissan Credit Card

Eligibility       

For Poultry KCC       : Farmers, Poultry Farmers either joint borrower, joint liability groups or self help groups including tenant farmers of pigs/ poultry/birds/rabbit and having owned/rented/leased sheds.

For dairy KCC         : Farmers and dairy farmers either individual or joint borrower, joint liability groups or of self help groups including tenant farmers of pigs/ poultry/birds/rabbit and having owned/rented/leased sheds.

Maximum age limit at the entry point for an individual is 70 years. However in case of individual above the age of 70 years, KCC may be issued with at least one of the legal heirs as joint borrowers/co-borrowers who is/are having age of less than 70 years.

Benefits                         : To provide timely and adequate credit support to the dairy and poultry farmers through different banks at low interest rate. Scale of finance for one cow is Rs. 29000/- per cycle and Rs.27700/- for buffalo whereas for 1000 poultry birds, it is Rs. 70000/-.

2 – Name of the Department: Animal Husbandry Department

Name of the Scheme        : Livestock Insurance under National Livestock Mission

                                             (NLM) 

Eligibility                         : For APL and BPL Beneficiaries, the premium for one year shall be calculated @ 3.5% of the cost of animals and for three years @ 9% of the cost of the animal considering Rs. 45000/- as total cost of the animal. However the breakup of the premium for APL Beneficiaries will be 40% (beneficiary share), 35% (central share) and 25% (state share) whereas for BPL beneficiaries, it will be 20% (Beneficiary share), 50% (central share), 30% (state share).

Benefits                                : To provide risk cover/ protection mechanism to the farmers against any eventual loss of their animals due to disease or accidental death.

3 – Name of the Department: Animal Husbandry Department

Name of the Scheme        : Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS)

Eligibility                         : Farmers, individual entrepreneurs, and groups of unorganized and organized sector etc. including self help groups, dairy cooperative societies, milk unions, milk federations etc. An applicant will be eligible to avail assistance for all the components under the scheme but only once for each component. However more than one member of a family can be assisted under the scheme provided they set up separate units with separate infrastructure at different locations. The distance between the boundaries of two such farms should be at least 500m.

Benefits                               : Back ended capital Subsidy @25% of the Project cost for General Category and @33.33% for SC/ST farmers under different components like Establishment of small Dairy units, Rearing of Heifer Cows, Purchase of milking Machines, Cold Storage Facility etc. shall be provided to the Dairy Farmers.

4 – Name of the Department: Animal Husbandry Department

Name of the Scheme        : Poultry Venture Capital Fund Scheme (PVCFS)

Eligibility                         : Farmers, individual entrepreneurs, and groups of unorganized and organized sector. Groups of organized sector includes Self Help Groups (SHGs) on behalf of their members, panchayat raj institutions (PRI) etc are eligible under the scheme.

An applicant will be eligible to avail assistance for all the components under the scheme but only once for each component. However more than one member of a family can be assisted under the scheme, they set up separate units with separate infrastructure at different locations. The distance between the boundaries of two adjacent farms should be at least 500m.

Benefits                               : This scheme intends to establish Hybrid Broiler units, Breeding Farms, Central Grower units, hybrid Layer units, Feed Mixing Units, Low input Technology Vehicles ( Open Cages and Refrigerated) etc. with back ended capital subsidy @ 35% for APL and 50% for BPL/SC/ST farmers.

Name of Scheme      :  National Livestock Mission (NLM)

                                   Innovative Poultry Productivity Project

                                   (IPPP) for broiler birds

Eligibility                  : 

  • Farmers, entrepreneurs, etc.
  • Should be a permanent resident of the district concerned.
  • Should have sufficient land in his/her name for establishment of the said unit.
  • Should be between the ages of 18 to 50 years.
  • Any other condition that the District Level Committee may deem proper.

 Benefits                    :                

  • 600 DOC’s along with required quantity of feed (to attain marketable weight) provided free of cost.
  • INR 30,000 for construction of poultry sheds.
  • Poultry equipments, medicines, vaccines etc.
  • Total benefit/beneficiary : 1.125 lakh

Name of Scheme      :  National Livestock Mission (NLM)

                                   for Low Input Technology (LIT)

Eligibility                 

  • Farmers with preference to SC/ST, BPL and

Women beneficiaries, SHGs, JLGs, FPOs, Co-operative, etc.

  • Should be a permanent resident of the district concerned.
  • Should have sufficient land in his/her name for establishment of the said unit.
  • Should be between the ages of 18 to 50 years.
  • Any other condition that the District Level Committee may deem proper.

 Benefits                                  

  • 400 LIT birds of 4 weeks of age free of cost.
  • INR 15,000 for construction of night shelters, initial feeding, etc.
  • Total benefit/beneficiary : INR 35,000
