The Department of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Baramulla organised a day long awareness cum Veterinary Camp

Tarzoo Sopore, September 10, 2022 : The Department of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Baramulla organised a day long awareness cum Veterinary Camp in association with the Central Auqaaf Comittee members of Tarzoo Sopore.

The Camp was attended by BDC Chairperson Sopore & Member Northern Railway Board New Delhi Dr. Farida Khan, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Baramulla, District Officer Sheep Husbandry Baramulla, Block Veterinary Officer Sopore, Livestock Development Officer Sopore and besides other Sectorial Officers of Irrigation & Flood Control Sopore, Dy. General Manager JKPCC Baramulla , Revenue Officers Tehsil Khoi, Mushroom Development Officer Baramulla, R&B Sopore, PRIs , Prominent Citizens of Tarzoo Sopore and huge number of Progressive farmers invited to generate mass awareness about the departmental schemes.

The departmental schemes Iike Integrated Dairy Development Scheme, Integrated Poultry Development Programme, Feed & Fodder Development Schemes were briefed at the Camp.

The establishment of veterinary Building in Tarzoo Sopore was also being highlighted and it was unanimously agreed that the land will get identified for its construction under CAPEX Budget and declaration passed by the gram Sabha of Panchayat halqa Tarzoo Sopore , so that the work will get executed soon and the progressive farmers will not face problem anymore .

At the Camp, the officers stressed upon the youths including women to come forward and establish new dairy & Poultry units and avail a subsidy upto to 50 ℅ under the departmental schemes and set an example for others to follow by becoming employment providers.

The line Department Officers of Sub Division Sopore assure Worthy BDC Chairperson Sopore for 100 ℅ Saturations and the completion of all Development works within the time frame.

Later, livestock owners who attended the camp were given free of cost veterinary medicines for their animals. All the veterinary doctors were present on the occasion.
