Chandigarh University viral video: 23-year-old more details below
SHIMLA: In connection with the case related to the leaking of objectionable videos by a girl student of Chandigarh University, the Himachal Pradesh police on Sunday arrested a 23-year-old youth wanted in the case. The arrested youth belongs to Rohru in Shimla district and was arrested from his native place.A 31-year-old youth has also been detained from Shimla in the same case by Punjab Police for verification.
The girl who had allegedly shot the videos also belongs to Rohru.Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu said that a request was received from Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav to nab the youth wanted in the case. He said that after procuring the details of the accused, the police team finally arrested him from Rohru. He said that after making the arrest, police has kept the youth at Rohru police station and he would be handed over to police team from Punjab which is investigating the case after the registration of FIR in Mohali.
He said that Himachal Police have very limited role in this case as further proceedings has to be initiated by Punjab Police. He said that Shimla SP is in touch with SP Mohali.Himachal Pradesh Police has reacted to the request of Punjab Police with sensitivity and professionalism. We nabbed the accused,” said Sanjay Kundu while congratulating Shimla SP Dr Monika and her team for their great professional work.
