Civilian Injured in Mysterious Blast in Sopore Succumbs to Injuries
A mysterious blast that occurred in the Warpora area of Sopore has claimed the life of a 50-year-old civilian. According to reports received by Kashmir Student News (KSN), the victim, identified as Mohammad Jamal Dar, was injured while digging earth in his kitchen garden on February 23, 2023.
He was immediately taken to the sub-district hospital in Sopore for treatment, but his condition worsened, and he was referred to SKIMS Soura for advanced treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday afternoon.
The incident has left the locals in shock, and the police have launched an investigation into the matter. A case has also been registered in this regard. The cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained.
The death of Mohammad Jamal Dar is a grim reminder of the security challenges faced by civilians in the region.
