JKBOSE Announces Passing Marks for Class 10th and 12th 2023

JKBOSE (Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education) has recently released the passing marks criteria for the Class 10th and Class 12th examinations conducted in 2023. The board has provided specific guidelines regarding the minimum marks required in each subject for students to successfully pass the examinations.

For the Class 10th examinations, students must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in Hindi, Math, Science, and Social Science subjects. In English, the passing marks requirement is slightly higher, at 36%. It is essential for students to achieve these passing marks in order to meet the JKBOSE passing criteria for Class 10th in 2023. Moving on to the Class 12th examinations, JKBOSE has set specific passing marks for both theory and practical sections. Students must obtain a minimum of 33% marks in English and a minimum of 36% marks in the remaining four subjects, which include both theory and practical exams. Additionally, the aggregate score, which considers the overall performance in all subjects, should also be at least 36%. Failure to meet these passing criteria may require students to apply for the compartment exams to save their academic year.

In case any student is unable to obtain the required passing marks in the Class 12th examinations, they have the option to apply for the JKBOSE compartment exam. However, it’s important to note that students who fail in more than two subjects are not eligible for the compartment exam.
